Sandra Magsamen has touched millions of people, one heart at a time. Her products have been warmly embraced for over 35 years. As an artist, art therapist, mom, and award-winning author, Sandra uses her own creativity and spirit to design gifts, books and collections that help people express themselves and connect with one other. Sandra reminds and teaches us to explore and experience each day with more heart, meaning, purpose and joy.
The children’s books that Sandra creates weave her experience as an art therapist and as a mom with her poetry and painting. Sandra’s goal is to create books that connect a child to the reader in a meaningful and loving way.
All of Sandra’s books share messages of belonging, knowing that when a child feels they belong, they feel safe, loved and can grow to be all they can be.

Sandra and Scholastic have worked closely together during their partnership to develop new and unique book formats from start to finish. From lift the flaps, to books with tails and ears, to books that become portable board games, these books are filled with fun! Each story is not only an engaging and captivating format, but is also filled with messages of love and heart.
When we play, it is an opportunity to learn concepts such as communication, taking turns, following directions, problem-solving, connection with others and so much more. Sandra’s series of interactive and novelty formats allows little ones of different ages to play together and opens up new conversations between children and their parents or caregivers!
